About Bill Hyde
Hello, my name is Bill Hyde. I have been interested in photography since I took a B&W photography class as an elective for my degree in Industrial Arts in the seventies. I taught High School Industrial Arts and Industrial Technology for thirty years before I retired in 2007. I have continued teaching part time Engineering classes at WTAMU in Canyon, TX, Randall H.S. and Amarillo H.S. when needed. I have been married to my teenage sweetheart for forty years and I'm blessed with two grown children and two beautiful grandsons. We love to RV travel as much as possible whereupon I indulge my passion for landscape, travel, & nature photography.
Currently I shoot with a Nikon D-200 with an 18-200mm VR zoom lens. I love to shoot scenes that seem to give you a feeling of time standing still. I can feel it in my spiritual core when the time, place, composition, and light all seem to come together to compel me to work a scene. The energy and feeling of places "Frozen in Time" speak to me on a spiritual level and always make me feel closer to God. I hope some of my images can give you the same feelings and touch you in a mystical spiritual way.
